About me

Charlotte Araghi

I am an abstract artist based in the Netherlands, known for my atmospheric metallic creations. Working full-time from my home in Utrecht, I’ve carved out a distinctive niche in the art world with my unconventional approach of “painting without a paintbrush.” This method, combined with my passion for metallic tones, has allowed me to develop a unique style marked by a soft yet striking structure.

One of my greatest joys is experimenting with different shades and watching how they transform on the canvas without the need for mixing or blending. This approach has essentially molded the progression of my work. My love for metallics, particularly gold, has brought a reviving energy to my art. I’m captivated by how gold shines on the surface, creating a stunning contrast that adds depth and dimension to the piece.

Abstract art has always been a powerful and evocative form of visual expression, capable of communicating emotions and ideas that transcend words. It’s this openness and capacity to stir deep feelings that makes abstract art so compelling to both art lovers and interior design enthusiasts. What distinguishes abstract art is its ability to break free from traditional boundaries, inviting viewers to engage with the work through their own emotions and experiences. It challenges us to explore beyond the visible and to unlock the vast potential of our imagination.

When I first experienced the mesmerizing effect of metallic gold in abstract art, I realized I had found a new dimension to elevate my work. The use of metallic gold offers a unique way to create a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere in any space. Its shimmering quality evokes a sense of opulence and grandeur, making the artwork truly stand out. For me, incorporating metallic gold not only adds a layer of glamour and elegance but also amplifies the overall visual impact of the piece.
